The Global Parliamentarian Declaration campaign in the Republic of Macedonia is still open. So far, Civil has collected 22 Declarations signed by Macedonian MPs. More are expected today and in the days ahead.
The previous deadline for collection of signatures (April 2) was prolonged in order to collect individual signatures from as many Macedonian MPs as possible. Parliament’s Chairman Trajko Veljanovski has sent an official letter of support for the global Arms Trade Treaty process.
According to the criteria and the format of the Campaign, each bearer of the people’s trust can express his/her support by individual signature on the Declaration, which Civil translated in Macedonian and Albanian language and provided a copy of it for each Member of the Parliament on March 27. Civil organized a press conference on March 28 to publicly announce the start of the Campaign.

Civil has sent an additional letter to remind each Member of the Parliament on the Campaign, yesterday (April 10).
